Lots of good chats. The people I had these chats with are all those who have left something profound and meaningful in me. Thanks to their words, I now feel I know what I need to do — what steps to take to address the concerns and worries I have today.
The assignment kept me busy this weekend and will likely keep me busy for the next few weekends as well. I feel blessed.
Here’s how my week 1,546 unfolded.
🎥 What I Created
Projects:
Behind-the-scenes look at publishing my new book.
Story behind it:
Reflecting on the lessons learned and personal growth I’ve experienced throughout my journey as a published author.
🏃 How Much I Ran
Distance / Time:
28.85 km / 3 hours 37 minutes
Body & mind notes:
I wasn’t happy with how weak my left kick felt. I asked my coach for advice, and he told me to adjust the angle of my foot — stepping in diagonally so the inner arch faces the opponent (him). This helps drive the kick more powerfully into their side.
📚 What I Read
Book / Article / Podcast:
Someday Is Today by Matthew Dicks
Quote that stuck:
“Death is not waiting for us at the end of a long road. Death is always with us, in the marrow of every passing moment. She is the secret teacher hiding in plain sight, helping us to discover what matters most.”
🤝 Who I Met or Spoke To
Who:
On Friday evening after work, I attended a demo day event to watch graduates from a coding bootcamp present their final projects.

Memorable moments:
Three years ago, I was the one posing for a photo with my own batchmates at this very event. This time, I was happily reunited with those same batchmates and peers I studied with. It felt nostalgic and inspiring to see how far everyone has come.
🔭 Next Week’s Peek
Looking forward to:
Mid next week, I’ll be attending an office offsite with the Japan team. We’ll be traveling outside of Tokyo for a 2-day, 1-night retreat.
Why it matters:
This annual offsite began last year and brings the entire Japan team together for team-building activities, presentations, and deeper discussions. I’m simply looking forward to stepping away from day-to-day tasks to focus on mid- to long-term goals.
As one of the more tenured members of the company, I’m expected to take the lead in bridging gaps and helping align the team for long-term success. For me personally, this offsite is an important opportunity to connect with colleagues, align on shared challenges, and contribute meaningfully to the team’s direction and growth.
Hope you had a nice week.
Catch you next Sunday!
