It was the very week I’d been looking forward to for years — our high school 10-year reunion. A week filled with rekindled connections, memories revisited from our youth, laughter over the silly things we did as teenagers, and a deep appreciation and pride for how far we’ve all come.
Here’s how my week 1,532 unfolded.
1. What I read.
Further into What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami
The quote that stuck with me:
I’m struck by how, except when you’re young, you really need to prioritize in life, figuring out in what order you should divide up your time and energy. If you don’t get that sort of system set by a certain age, you’ll lack focus and your life will be out of balance. I placed the highest priority on the sort of life that lets me focus on writing, not associating with all the people around me.
2. Who I saw.
High school classmates — over 20 of them — at our reunion.

The little details I observed:
It felt like traveling back in time to when I first stepped onto campus at 16, suitcase in one hand and school backpack in the other — excited, but also nervous about starting life in this small community. That place, and those people, became like extended family that I want to see.
Just like how quickly time flies when you’re having fun, this reunion week passed in a blink. Saying goodbye to each classmate at brunch today, I feel sad that it’s already over. But more than that, I’m already looking forward to our next big reunion in ten years. These friends helped shape who I’ve become — and I’m grateful for the person I am today because of them.
3. What I created.
Taking a short break from creating this week — same as last week.
Next Week’s Peek — What I’m looking forward to and why
Next week, I’ll be visiting a classmate in Seattle who couldn’t make it to the reunion weekend. I’ll be staying at her new home — the one she recently bought to begin her newlywed life. Over the past few years, it’s been really special to see her regularly, and this will be another one of those visits. Nothing fancy, just time together that feels truly meaningful.
I’m proud of us for how well we’ve nurtured our friendship over the years.
Hope you had a great week.
Catch you next week!
